I feel like I usually have to play "catch up" on my blog, but today I decided to just talk about my sweet baby girl! I can not believe she is already 5 months old! This made me want to stop and take a second and count my blessings and for once experience the moment.

Mabry makes the world sweet and wonderful! As of lately she has 2 teeth on the bottom and that was a struggle, but we survived! She has almost mastered the whole sitting up thing by herself, we are still working on it! This girl loves to eat and those cute thunder thighs are proof! Those cheeks that almost sit on her chest are just so yummy! She has been sleeping her in crib ALL night for the last few weeks and it has been awesome! I was really worried about the transition but she did so great - I'm starting to think she occasionally needs her space too! She wakes up so happy each morning and it just melts my heart! She is so excited to see me when she wakes up and will lay down and just "talk" to me for several minutes before she is ready to eat! That grin is my motivation each and every morning! She is growing up so fast and it is breaking my heart! She is really developing a little personality and wants to play, which really is a lot of fun! I feel like I have said it over and over but I feel so blessed to be able to be her mom! Justin and I could not be happier!

We are about to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, and what a crazy year it has been, but I would not have it any other way! What a joy she is..

PARTY in the USA

The Fourth of July was such a fun weekend! We had lots of time with family and friends which of course allowed for plenty of wardrobe changes!!

Thanks Rachel for the SUPER cute patriotic bows! Love them!

On Friday went to LaLa and Colonel's house to swim and layout, where Mabry was able to sport her red, white, and blue bikini! Those legs and belly were just the cutest thing ever! After that we went to Justin's softball game. He said he wasn't sure where we were sitting but spotted Mabry's bow from first base! Love that!

Then on Saturday we just hung out as a little family! Those days are always rare and so nice!

Sunday was the big fun day! We went to my parents house to grill out and hang out by the pool and of course the sun didn't really come out until we were leaving to go to the next party! We went to the Brown's which is always a good time! The table was decorated so cute and the food was awesome! I love seeing the kids all dressed up and hanging out together! It was definitely a weekend for the books!

Road Trip!

I feel like the worst blogger ever, which is probably not far from the truth! This has been a crazy couple of weeks!

Mabry went on her first road trip to Houston, TX! My great Uncle Sig passed away and although a sad day it allowed for my mom's entire side of the family to get together. It had seriously been YEARS since I had seen some of these relatives! Instead of a traditional funeral we had a "celebration of life" for Uncle Sig. He and his amazing pancakes will be missed!

We (being my mom, my brother Mitchell, Mabry, and myself) loaded up on Wednesday afternoon and headed to Texarkana. We weren't really sure how Mabry would do in the car so we decided to break up the trip! And she was such a trooper! There's not a whole lot happening in Texarkana but we did manage to find a mall (imagine that) and we had the best tex mex ever! We checked into our hotel and relaxed! Mabry did great her first night with room servie!

The next day we got up and headed to Lufkin, where my great aunt Jo lives. We visited with everyone and then we headed "into town" and did a little shopping once again! It's always fun to shop somewhere else! After a long day we decided we needed a tex mex fix again!

Then on Friday was the celebration. My cousin Summer hosted it at her beautiful home and everyone gathered around and shared stories about uncle Sig and all the jokes he told and the good man that he was and his undeniable great cooking!
This trip was extra special because my grandparents were able to meet thier great granddaughter for the first time! Nana and Grandpa live in Rosie Clare, Illinois and traveling isn't always easy, so that made the trip worth it right there!
Boy did Mabry and I miss Justin! We were very ready to be home on Saturday! I can say that Mabry's first road trip was a sucess! She did really great in the car and was easy going the entire time!
OH and we cut a tooth while on the trip! So many things in so little time!!

We're 4 months old!!

This has been quite the week for Miss Mabry! She is offically 4 months old, hard to believe right?! We have been spending lots of time at LaLa's pool soaking up the sunshine. I love summer for some many reasons but I especially love the LONG days! We can take walks when it actually cools off! I swear we jumped right into summer, there was no easing in the heat this year! I love summer "hair" that just dried and not perfect look to go along with a little bronzer and lip gloss! My most favorite of course is being able to have fun in the sun with my baby girl! She loves to just get up and go, and trust me we are busy!
This was also Justin's first Father's day! I feel as if I don't mention him enough and I know that I do not give him enough credit! Justin is absolutely wonderful with Mabry, and it is so cute to see them play now that she is really developing a little personality. He really loves her and it shows in every ounce of him! It's crazy how a little bitty baby girl can have such a strong man wrapped her teeny finger! It truly melts my heart! I had a few of his favorite pictures blown up in different sizes and put in black frames, along with a cardinals hat, and of course those mushy and all too silly cards! I think he loved it! J even surprised me on his first Father's day, I came home and he had CLEANED the house, I'm talking even mopped! It was such a lovely surprise! Yay for Dad's day! We then went to Olive Garden for dinner and so of course I had to take a couple of pictures while we were waiting on our table! After being almost uncomfortably full we came home and just hung out which was so nice!

So today is catch up day! I worked ALL weekend it feels like so that is one reason I'm beginning to not mind Mondays so much, I can catch up on life!!

We had to wear the "3 months old" outfit one more time!

Summer Lovin'

Big surprise I've been slacking on my blogging. But I do have cute pictures so that makes up for it right? :) We have been busy homeowners lately, we no longer live in a PINK house! It's so nice to see a neutral color! We (meaning Justin) have some work to do such as finishing the trim and the shutters but progress has been made and I am just thrilled!! In the evenings Mabry will sit outside in her bumbo and watch Daddy work. That sweet girl loves to be outside! I also painted some furniture red and I love it! So little miss got her fill of the play pin while I tried to be creatively domesticated. We love projects around here!
Last Friday my good friend Susan came in from Kansas City and we had a lovely time just catching up on life and middle sister wine! I love when she comes to visit. She is one of those friends that you can go months without seeing each other but when you do we can easily pick up where we left off. But I have been lucky enough to see her quite often lately, I'm thinking it may have more to do with Mabry than just me! I can't say that I blame her! She laughed at me becuase she got to the house around 10:00 pm and Mabry was still bright eyed and in a bow of course! I say I'm teaching her to be well prepared for any occassion! Most of all I feel blessed to have such a great friend to be there for me and my baby girl!

Mabry stayed with a babysitter, someone besides a grandparent, for the very first time! Mollie and Mabry had a good time hanging out together while mom and dad went to a wedding in Fayetteville! Mollie is so great with her! So I feel that we have reached another accomplishment..

She's growing up way too fast!!

I don't need a prince I've got DADDY!

Love the cupcake bow!

Love Bug just hanging out with Mommy!

So in an earlier post I mentioned a cardinals outfit, well here is another version of it!

Don't you just want to squeeze those cheeks?

We love LaLa's pool and pink bikinis!
